What happens to the money when the term of my fixed-rate savings account expires?

At the end of the term, your savings account will switch to a variable interest rate. Your money, including earned interest, will then be available for withdrawal. If you want to continue with a fixed-rate savings account, you need to create a new savings account with the desired term and transfer the money to the new account.
