Common scams
Learn about common scams against business owners and become more vigilant to the warning signs.
Telephone
Someone is calling, often from an unknown number, pretending to be calling from your bank, some government agency or other credible actor. Most often it is in a hurry and the person informs you that you either need to stop or make a payment.
The person then asks you to legitimize. But when you authenticate, you give the scammer access to your accounts or authorize a transaction.

Mail or SMS
You receive an email or text message from someone pretending to contact you from a credible actor. You will be prompted to click on a link and enter your card or account details, or make a payment to an account number indicated in the message. But the account number does not go to the actor the person pretends to be and if you enter your details via the link, you give the scammer access to them.

Do not use BankID
Never identify yourself with BankID or other ID if someone calls you to do so.
End the call
If you suspect that a scammer is in touch, end the call or do not respond to the message you received.
Double check
Do a check if you are unsure. Call the actor the person purported to represent and double-check the information it gave you.
Contact with Froda
It happens that Froda calls out to you as a customer. However, we never do it from a hidden number, will never ask you to legitimize you when it is us calling and also never ask you to settle your loan ahead of time. If we email you, we always do it from an @froda .se email address.
