Common scams
Read about common scams against entrepreneurs and become more alert to the warning signs.
Phone
Someone calls, often from an unknown number, claiming to be from your bank, a government agency or another credible party. It is usually urgent and the person informs you that you need to either stop or make a payment.
The person then asks you to identify yourself. But when you identify yourself, you give the fraudster access to your accounts or authorize a transaction.

Email or SMS
You receive an email or text message from someone claiming to be contacting you from a credible operator. You are asked to click on a link and enter your card or account details, or make a payment to an account number provided in the message. However, the account number does not go to the impersonator and if you enter your details via the link, you give the fraudster access to them.

Scammers use many methods and are constantly coming up with new ones. But there are common signs that you should be aware of.

Do not use BankID
Never identify yourself with BankID or other identification if someone contacts you and asks you to do so.
End the call
If you suspect that you are being contacted by a scammer, end the call or do not reply to the message you received.
Double-check
If you are not sure, do a check. Call the operator the person claimed to represent and double-check the information they gave you.

It happens that Froda calls you as a customer. However, we never do so from a hidden number, will never ask you to identify yourself when we are the ones calling, and will never ask you to settle your loan early. If we email you, we always do so from an @froda.se email address.
