What started as a small café in Rydebäck has grown into Lilla Fiket, a popular spot serving breakfast, lunch, pastries, and catering. Behind the counter is Jessica Liljedahl Marin, whose commitment to local ingredients and Swedish traditions permeates everything she does.
"I make everything from scratch," says Jessica. "I use Swedish butter for the buttercream, Bjäre chicken for the lunches, and always buy locally. That's important to me."
Initially, she ran the café in a small space without a kitchen. It was all or nothing. When the opportunity to grow arose, she took the chance and turned to Froda after a tip on LinkedIn. "I submitted the application and then I was up and running. It was so smooth."
Jessica appreciates Froda's clear structure, daily repayment, and how well it fit with her cash flow. "You don't feel the whole loan at once. It just ticks along in the background while you continue working."

Thanks to Froda, she also received three months of unemployment benefits from SMÅA, which provided some breathing room during the start-up phase. "That security made me dare to take the leap. I've been with SMÅA since 1996, and it makes a big difference for us small business owners."
Looking ahead, Jessica dreams of expanding with a small food truck and perhaps hiring one or two people to help out. "I will always work a lot myself, but it would be nice to have some time off every now and then."
Running Lilla Fiket is no walk in the park, but Jessica doesn't regret anything. "I would never have made this investment if I didn't believe in it. This is the dream."
