The scholarship provides women who want to start, or have just started, a business with 100,000 SEK to help them realize their idea.

Submit your scholarship application using the form; the deadline for applications is December 31, 2026. To be eligible, you must identify as a woman, be of legal age, be registered in the Swedish Population Register, and the company you are applying on behalf of must not have been established before January 1, 2026.

Sweden needs more female entrepreneurs

Only one-quarter of all entrepreneurs in Sweden are women. This figure is below the EU average, and since 1980, the proportion of female entrepreneurs has increased by only 1 percentage point. To encourage more women to start and run businesses, Froda awards the “ Future Female Founder ” scholarship annually.

About Future Female Founder

Future Female Founder was established in 2022 and is awarded annually to a woman with entrepreneurial aspirations. The grant is intended to provide women who want to run a business—or have just started one—with the capital they need to bring their idea to life.
